In 1987 Elfranco Hoogenhout joined the Farmers Trust team having previously worked for the Citrus Board. He subsequently took over from Ronnie Wilson to become the owner and MD of Farmers Trust. His knowledge and contacts in the citrus industry helped to make Farmers Trust the leading citrus agent on the Tshwane Market. To this day they represent most of the leading citrus producers in the country.
The agency has steadily consolidated its position as one of Tshwane Market’s foremost agencies and ranks amongst the best in the country.
It caters for the full range of fresh produce sales through a skilled and dedicated team of salespeople.
Farmers Trust currently employs around 90 people of which 21 are registered salespeople with APAC (Agricultural Produce Agents Council). Further testimony to the inherent values of Farmers Trust is that of their employees; 11 have been with the agency for more than 10 years, nine for more than 20 years and six for over 30 years!
The company currently holds a Level 5 BEE Rating.
